Evaluations
An evaluation will assess the patient's skills in the areas of concern. Evaluations typically take 1.5-2 hours and typically include:

Observations

Speech-language sample

Standardized testing when possible
At the end of the evaluation session, recommendations will be made and a therapy plan will be formed with the family. We will provide a report of the findings, recommendations, and suggested therapy goals.
Speech, Language, & Swallowing Therapy
Individual therapy is provided in our clinic-based setting and is one-on-one with a certified speech-language pathologist. We always invite families to be an active member of the team and therapy sessions. Our sessions are scheduled for45 minutes and frequency is determined based on the need of each individual and as a team with the family. Families are welcome in the therapy sessions and we always include family/caregiver education and training as a part of our therapy.
Orofacial Myology Therapy is provided by a trained speech-language pathologist and is designed to address challenges such as thumb/finger sucking, routine habit of resting with the lips apart, tongue thrust, mouth-breathing patterns, etc. Click HERE to learn more about orofacial myology therapy.
